An accident this morning during the construction of U.S. Bank Stadium today resulted in the death of one worker and severe injury to another.
According to the Star Tribune, the two workers were from Berwald Roofing. Around 7:45 this morning, senior vice president for Mortenson Construction John Wood called in the incident where one individual fell 50 feet off the roof into a snow gutter while the other was injured while still on the roof. Both were treated on-site and then taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center.
The employee that fell lost his life while the other is in serious condition at the medical center.
