If there was a Minnesota Vikings offseason cliche bingo card, then quarterback trades involving the San Francisco 49ers would most assuredly be on it. A couple of years ago there were the never-ending "Kirk Cousins to San Francisco for Jimmy G and picks" rumors. Last offseason, Trey Lance to Minnesota was brought up on a regular basis until he was traded to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2024 4th round pick.
Thankfully, the Vikings didn't overpay for Lance. Admittedly, I was at least intrigued by the idea of buying low on the former #3 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
