NFL Draft: Vikings Reportedly Work Out Basketball Player Richard Ross

6-6, 236-pound Old Dominion basketball player Richard Ross has gotten a look from multiple NFL teams including the Vikings, reports the Star-Trib.

Ross has the build and athleticism teams look for when scouring the NCAA basketball ranks in search of the next Tony Gonzalez or Antonio Gates. The Vikings reportedly sent TE coach Kevin Stefanski to ODU on Wednesday to put Ross through a private work out.

Before embarking on a college basketball career at ODU, Ross was a high school standout in multiple sports including football, lettering twice as a receiver. He was also a high school All-American in track, setting a regional record in the long jump.
