A few years ago when the roof of their stadium was collapsing, valuable is probably not a word many would have used to describe the Minnesota Vikings.
Heading into the 2018 season, however, the Vikings are not only among the most valuable teams in the NFL, but their value is among the highest of any professional sports team in the entire world.
According to a recent list constructed by Forbes’ Kurt Badenhausen, Minnesota is 2018’s 33rd-most valuable sports franchise on planet earth. The Vikings are currently valued at $2.4 billion.
Considering Minnesota was purchased by the Wilf family for $600 million back in 2005, the value of the team has gone up quite a bit over the last 13 years.
