We’ve completed one quarter of play from East Rutherford, and the Minnesota Vikings lead the New York Giants by a score of 3-0.
For just the second time this season, the Vikings’ offense took the field first, and the drive resulted in points. Minnesota moved the ball well, getting down to the Giants’ 13-yard line, but Kirk Cousins was sacked by R.J. McIntosh to stall the drive. Dan Bailey connected on a 31-yard field goal, and the Vikings took an early 3-0 lead.
The Giants attempted to answer, but wound up having to punt the ball away, with the Vikings taking over at their own 2-yard line.
