Minnesota Vikings at Cincinnati Bengals: Second quarter recap and third quarter discussion

They’re heading into the locker rooms at halftime in Cincinnati, and your Minnesota Vikings still lead the Cincinnati Bengals by a score of 7-3 after a scoreless second quarter.

The Vikings punted the ball away to start the quarter, and the Bengals made a bit of progress on offense, but saw Jake Browning miss a wide open receiver on third down for what would have been a long touchdown pass and had to punt it away again.

The Vikings moved down the field to the Cincinnati 15-yard line and it looked like they were on the verge of adding more points, but Nick Mullens’ pass to the end zone was intercepted by Mike Hilton to end the drive.
