Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears: First quarter recap and second quarter discussion

We’ve made it through the first fifteen minutes at Soldier Field, and the Minnesota Vikings lead the Chicago Bears by a score of 7-3.

The Vikings got the football first, as the Bears won the toss and decided to defer to the second half. The Vikings put together a solid first drive, but it came to an end when Kyle Rudolph fumbled the ball after being hit with the loose ball being recovered by the Bears for a turnover.

Two plays later, however, the Vikings got the ball back, as Nick Foles’ pass sailed high and went off the fingertips of Anthony Miller into the hands of Harrison Smith for an interception.
