Lions run past Vikings 30-24, clinch first NFC division title in 30 years; Minnesota injuries mount

The Lions beat the Vikings 30-24 on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium to claim their first division title in 30 years.

In doing so, Detroit (11-4) damaged the playoff hopes of the Vikings, who fell to 7-8. The teams play again in two weeks in Detroit.

Vikings quarterback Nick Mullens threw for more than 400 yards, but threw four interceptions, the last one with 49 seconds left and the Vikings driving for the winning score.

The Vikings took a 21-17 lead early in the third quarter after scoring a touchdown near the end of the first half and going 81 yards on five plays on the opening drive of the second half.
