Kirk Cousins back at Vikings practice, says he's 'at peace' about vaccines and protocols

Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was activated from the team's COVID-19 reserve list on Thursday and returned to practice after a five-day quarantine, saying he was "at peace" with where he is at with regard to getting vaccinated.

Cousins was sidelined Saturday because he was close contact of rookie quarterback Kellen Mond, who tested positive for COVID-19. League rules don't require vaccinated players to isolate if they're close contacts with an infected person.

Backup quarterback Kyle Stanley was also forced into quarantine, leaving the Vikings with only Jake Browning throwing passes in practice.

"I think the vaccination decision is a private health matter for me, and I'm going to keep it as such," Cousins said at a news conference Thursday.
