Kevin O’Connell’s RB plan could make Vikings offense unstoppable in 2025

Last season, the Minnesota Vikings running back room was not the greatest. Ty Chandler and Cam Akers truly could not help take the workload off of Aaron Jones having to do it all.

But with this offseason's trade acquisition of Jordan Mason, things have changed in the Vikings' backfield. Mason was the backup to San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, and with McCaffrey getting hurt early in the 2024 season, Mason was the RB1 for several games.

In Week 2 against Minnesota last season, Mason had 20 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown and really displayed what he can do.
