The Minnesota Vikings have already gone through the ups and downs of the NFL season, unlike any other team in the league that has had in 2025.
It all started with a fourth-quarter comeback win in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears that saw J.J. McCarthy score three touchdowns in his first career start to end the game, leading to his NFC Offensive Player of the Week award. The Vikings came back down to Earth with a blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons the next week, which saw their quarterback get hurt.
McCarthy has been challenged early in the season as he is expected to be out until their Week 7 game against the Philadelphia Eagles due to a high right ankle sprain.
