Justin Jefferson sets new NFL record in Sunday’s loss

Despite another rough loss on Sunday afternoon, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson continues to show why, when he’s healthy, he’s the best player at his position in the National Football League.

With his six-catch, 141-yard performance against Detroit on Sunday, Jefferson set a new NFL record for the most receiving yards by an NFL player in their first four seasons. He now has 5,648 career receiving yards, surpassing the old mark of 5,512 set by Michael Thomas of New Orleans. Making that more impressive is that Thomas only missed one game in his first four seasons, giving him 63 games to set the mark, while Jefferson passed it in 58 career games.
