It didn't take very long for Minnesota Vikings fans to be handed their first gut punch of training camp as head coach Kevin O'Connell delivered some unexpected injury news about All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson on Friday.
O'Connell has revealed that Jefferson is currently dealing with a "very minor left hamstring strain", and he will be held out of Minnesota's practices until he is re-evaluated at some point next week.
So, in terms of severity, things could certainly be a lot worse for the Vikings and their top wide receiver. But, with big goals in mind for the 2025 season, Minnesota clearly doesn't want to take any chances with Jefferson in training camp if a more serious injury can be avoided.
