Justin Jefferson joins history books

Putting a cherry on-top of what has been a superstar rookie season, Justin Jefferson surpassed Randy Moss’ team record for most receiving yards by a rookie in the third quarter of today’s Week 17 contest against the Detroit Lions.

As of the writing of this article, Jefferson has 1,365 yards, which moves him into the second spot for most yards by a rookie receiver in the modern era. NFL.com explained BEFORE today’s match-up:

“Jefferson is currently sits at 1,267 yards in his first season, which is fourth all-time behind Odell Beckham (New York Giants, 2014, 1,305 yards), Randy Moss (Minnesota Vikings, 1998, 1,313) and record-holder Anquan Boldin(Arizona Cardinals, 2003, 1,377), per NFL Research.
