If something should happen to Nick Mullens on Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings face the Detroit Lions, the team’s other veteran quarterback will be called on to take over.
Kevin O’Connell said on Friday that Joshua Dobbs will serve as the backup to Mullens when the Vikings head to Ford Field on Sunday for the regular season finale.
We last saw Dobbs in the Vikings’ 3-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. . .the last time the team found their way into the win column. . .in which he was largely ineffective before being replaced by Mullens in the fourth quarter.
