J.J. McCarthy’s praise could change everything for one rookie

It is not every day that an undrafted free agent out of the University of Minnesota signs a deal to stay with his hometown Minnesota Vikings, but that was the case with Max Brosmer. Brosmer is vying for a roster spot as the backup to quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

McCarthy actually played for a rival of Brosmer's when Brosmer was at the University of Minnesota, in the Michigan Wolverines. Brosmer and McCarthy never actually played against each other as McCarthy was selected with the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, but it would have been cool to see them go against one another.
