Eden Prairie’s J.D. Spielman has been named the Gatorade High School Football Player of the Yearfor the State of Minnesota.
The award is presented to players who made a significant impact on the field during the season and demonstrated: high academic achievement and exemplary personal character, including volunteerism, sportsmanship and community leadership.
“J.D. Spielman is not only an exceptional athlete but also a tremendous person who represents our school and community with great class,” Eden Prairie High Head Coach Mike Grant told USA TODAY High School Sports.
