Former Vikings starter’s latest NFL return ends almost as soon as it began

Less than a week ago, former Minnesota Vikings cornerback Cameron Dantzler was given the chance to return to the NFL for the first time since 2023 by the Miami Dolphins.

With only one game left on the 2025 preseason schedule to impress the Dolphins at the time of his arrival, Dantzler was facing an. uphill battle to make their final 53-man roster this year. It turns out that the hill was too high for the former Vikings third-round draft pick to climb.

On Monday, Dantzler was part of a group of players who were shown the door by Miami as the team reportedly released the veteran corner, according to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.
