Depth playing a big role in Vikings' push toward sixth win

MINNEAPOLIS -- Without a stoppage in play for an injury timeout during the Vikings' victory over Baltimore in Week 7, it took players on the offense a while to realize that tackle Riley Reiff injured his ankle and wasn’t anchoring the left side of the offensive line.

“That was kind of weird because I didn’t even know Riley was out of the game until a couple of plays later,” running back Jerick McKinnon said.

That’s not a sign of obliviousness. The transition was so seamless between Reiff going out and reserve tackle Rashod Hill stepping in that the offense didn’t miss a beat en route to the team’s third straight win.
