With some bad injury update news for the Minnesota Vikings coming off their Week 1 win over the Chicago Bears, a monstrous opportunity for second-year EDGE rusher Dallas Turner could present itself.
Head coach Kevin O’Connell provided an update on players who either missed or left the game on Monday night, and it wasn’t exactly great news for some key Vikings players on defense. Middle linebacker Blake Cashman “will miss some time,” O’Connell said, while two other starters, CB Jeff Okuda and EDGE Andrew Van Ginkel, are currently in concussion protocol.
It’s too early to speculate on Okuda or Van Ginkel in terms of their chances of playing in Sunday night’s home opener against the Atlanta Falcons.
