The Minnesota Vikings were without safety Andrew Sendejo during Week 8 of the 2017 NFL season due to a one-game suspension handed down from a hit on Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Mike Wallace the previous week.
Since suspended players don’t count against the roster limit for NFL teams, Minnesota promoted offensive lineman Cornelius Edison to the 53-man roster from the practice squad since they were already without left guard Nick Easton and backup Jeremiah Sirles was dealing with an injury.
Edison’s services were not needed during the Vikings 33-16 victory over the Cleveland Browns in the United Kingdom.
