One of the most tenacious defenders of his era, despite his lack of size, Winfield provided a lot of big moments for the Vikings during his time with the team.
That propensity for big moments has continued through his son, Antoine Winfield Jr., a defensive back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the Bucs’ 30-20 victory over the New Orleans Saints, Winfield the Younger made his presence felt with a forced fumble that set up the tying touchdown for the Bucs and propelled them to a victory.
