EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings hope to have Alex Boone back on the field Monday night against the New York Giants. They appeared a step closer to getting their wish on Friday afternoon.
Boone, who left the team's win against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday with a hip injury, was practicing for the first time this week on Friday afternoon as the Vikings continued preparations for their matchup with the Giants. Boone had a MRI on his hip on Monday, and coach Mike Zimmer indicated he thought the guard would be ready to play.
