The latest edition of the Dylan Wolpers Derby got off to a rough start when Bakaye Dibassy suffered a season ending injury just seven minutes into the match.
Corey Baird scored a goal for Houston Dynamo during stoppage time in the first half. Baird celebrated a bit too long in front of the Wonderwall much to the dismay of the supporters.
Minnesota United rallied back in the 79th minute when Emanuel Reynoso’s free kick was deflected off Houston’s Tim Parker for an own goal. Five minutes later Alan Benítez found an open Luis Amarilla inside the penalty box to score the game winning goal.
