The latest installment of the Nicest Rivalry in Sports took a turn for something more fitting of the term rivalry. The first of 6 yellow cards was issued to Bakaye Dibassy in the 6th minute. In the 21st minute Remi Walter was issued a straight red for a studs up tackle on Emanuel Reynoso.
Despite having the man advantage, the Loons couldn’t develop anything into something that could get the better of goalkeeper Tim Melia and the remaining Sporting KC team.
Next up for the Loons is the Dylan Wolpers Derby down in Houston on August 28.
