MNUFC Hires Allianz Field GM & Partners With Twins

Minnesota United today announced the hiring of its first General Manager of Allianz Field and introduced its “Strategic Collaboration Operations Agreement” with the club’s MLB neighbors, the Minnesota Twins.

MNUFC promoted from within to fill the position of General Manager of Allianz Field — the club’s privately-financed, soccer-specific stadium set to open in Spring 2019 — hiring current Director of Match Day Operations Justin Borrell for the position.

Borrell has been with the Loons for five seasons and brings great experience with the day-to-day operations of a major facility. He has directed MNUFC operations and managed relationships with the University of Minnesota and the National Sports Center, the club’s training facility, and is familiar with all of the key players of the Allianz Field project, from Populous to Mortenson, Tegra and beyond.
