Governor Dayton Declares Soccer In MN Day

Today, Governor Mark Dayton issued a proclamation declaring Sunday, March 12 Soccer in Minnesota Day. Soccer’s rich legacy in the state will reach a new level on that day when Minnesota United plays the home opener of their inaugural Major League Soccer season against Atlanta United at TCF Bank Stadium.

Minnesota United is committed not only to competing at the highest level in the top division of soccer in the United States, but to enriching and expanding the experience of the sport at all levels. Through partnerships with the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association and the National Sports Center, MNUFC is working to make the sport more accessible for youth in Minnesota.
