In a symbolic move, Governor Mark Dayton has declared March 12th, 2017 to be “Soccer in Minnesota Day”. In a show of solidarity with the Loons, Minnesotans and fans everywhere are encouraged to wear United Black and Blue all day.

The declaration recognizes the fact that soccer is the “World’s Game” and that Minnesota has a history of soccer dating back to the Kicks and now with United.

Minnesota may be the State of Hockey, but for tomorrow, it will be a state focused on soccer.
