Twins reportedly interested in bringing back Sergio Romo

The Minnesota Twins had a rough trade deadline last July as they weren’t able to add a quality starting pitcher and swung and missed on the deal that brought Sam Dyson to the Twins. While the Twins have already cut ties with Dyson earlier this offseason, it appears that their other deadline deal could be more than just a rental.

According to Dan Hayes of The Athletic, the Twins have shown interest in bringing right-hander Sergio Romo back for the 2020 season. Although it isn’t clear whether talks for a new contract have begun, Hayes noted that Romo appeared to enjoy his time in Minnesota meaning it wouldn’t be too hard to twist his arm to come back.
