ARLINGTON, Texas -- Aaron Hicks' strained right forearm felt better Sunday, but the Twins still opted to put him on the 15-day disabled list to make room for rookie phenom Byron Buxton.
"There's enough limitation there that we're concerned (about) risk in the short term of trying to run him out there too soon," Twins manager Paul Molitor said. "To make sure we get it right and not make it a longer-term deal, we're going to go ahead and disable him."
This is the fourth time Hicks has been on the DL in his three big-league seasons.
