Twins gut out win in 13th on bases-loaded walk

CHICAGO -- After Fernando Rodney blew a save by issuing a bases-loaded walk with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Max Kepler saved the day by drawing his own walk with the bases loaded in the top of the 13th to lift the Twins to a much-needed 2-1 win over the White Sox to avoid a sweep on Thursday afternoon at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Rodney, who had converted 15 straight saves with a 1.37 ERA, loaded the bases with two outs and walked Daniel Palka on four pitches, tying the game at 1-1.
