Twins rookie Eddie Rosario will make his major league debut Wednesday night against the Oakland Athletics, the Twins said Wednesday afternoon.
Rosario will play right field and bat eighth against the A's three-time all-star left-hander Scott Kazmir.
One of the Twins' top minor-league prospects, Rosario was called up from Triple-A Rochester on Monday and got acquainted with Target Field's quirky outfield on Tuesday.
He was batting .242 with three home runs and 12 runs batted in across 95 at-bats and 23 games at Rochester.
Rosario, a left-handed batter, has fared better against left-handed pitching this season.
