The Twins have traded Harrison Bader to the Philadelphia Phillies, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. In exchange, the Twins received outfielder Hendry Mendez and right-handed pitcher Geremy Villoria, according to The Athletic's Matt Gelb.
Bader has arguably been having the best season of his career. While being worth 2.8 bWAR, Bader has slashed .258/.339/.439 with 12 homers, 13 doubles and 38 RBIs. He has provided the Twins with elite defense in left field and occasionally center to give Buxton rest, as Bader ranks 12th in Major League Baseball in defensive runs saved with 13.
