Twins could've had Yankees' former No. 1 prospect for Jhoan Durán at trade deadline

All things considered, the Twins got a solid return from the Philadelphia Phillies in the blockbuster Jhoan Durán trade from this past summer. Eduardo Tait is a highly regarded prospect at a premier position, ranking No. 57 among the league's best prospects per MLB Pipeline, and Mick Abel has the potential to be a solid mid-rotation arm.

There is an alternative reality where the Twins don't trade Durán to the Phillies, instead moving him to the New York Yankees in exchange for New York's former No. 1 prospect, Jasson Domínguez. The Twins could have made that happen if they wanted, as Empire Sports Media's Ryan Garcia reported that the Yankees offered Domínguez, 22, in a package for Durán.
