Twins brew up special experiences for charity auction

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Considering general manager Terry Ryan's bout with neck cancer last year, the Twins know all about the importance of cancer research and treatment.

And with that in mind, the Twins, along with the other 29 Major League Baseball organizations, MLB, MLB Advanced Media and MLB Network, are participating in a Winter Meetings charity effort for a fourth straight year to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. Much of the funds go to Stand Up To Cancer, which has partnered with MLB since 2008.

The Twins are offering several autographed items as well as two experiences, as fans can bid to take a hitting lesson with hitting coach Tom Brunansky or brew beer with closer Glen Perkins.
