With their 6-3 win over the Texas Rangers, the Twins completed a four-game sweep over Texas for the first time in franchise history and wrapped up their six-game road trip with a record of 5-1.
The win was a big one for the Twins, who continue to fight with the Cleveland Indians for the lead in the American League Central. The Indians picked up an 8-4 win over the New York Yankees, but with the Twins able to get the win, their lead stayed at 2 1/2 games over the Indians.
