Minnesota Twins’ Derek Falvey turned down interview for position with Red Sox

By winning 102 games this past season, the Minnesota Twins have a target on their backs. No, it’s not the target of the rest of the American League Central (although that will come next spring), but instead outside organizations looking to give their front office structure or coaching staff a shakeup.

The first domino in this offseason of change came when hitting coach James Rowson left the Twins to become the Miami Marlins’ bench coach and offensive coordinator last week. However, the Twins avoided a second domino from falling when Derek Falvey declined to interview for the top baseball operations job with the Boston Red Sox.
