The Minnesota Twins have done a great job at avoiding the injury bug this season, but it appears that their luck has run out. Although they picked up a series win against the Tampa Bay Rays this week, the Twins didn’t come out unscathed as several starters including Max Kepler and Eddie Rosario got banged up while others such as Willians Astudillo joined a growing injured list that already includes Marwin Gonzalez and Byron Buxton.
Mix in an 18-inning marathon finale against the Rays on Thursday afternoon and the Twins aren’t in great shape heading into this weekend’s three-game series against the Chicago White Sox.
