KANSAS CITY -- Twins manager Paul Molitor said catcher Mitch Garver was progressing nicely one day after Garver went through concussion tests. Garver had a foul ball smash into his facemask during the second inning of Wednesday's game against the Yankees, prompting his removal from the game.
The testing phase went well, but Molitor plans to proceed cautiously with Garver.
"He plans to do a little light cardio today, probably stay away from hitting," Molitor said. "We're hoping to protect him in the short term just because of the blow that he took.
