Detroit trade deadline acquisition gets shelled by former team as Twins defeat Tigers

Detroit Tigers right-handed starting pitcher Chris Paddack, whom the Twins traded to the Tigers along with right-handed pitcher Randy Dobnak in exchange for minor league catcher Enrique Jimenez on July 28, suffered the loss in the Twins' 8-1 win against the Tigers at Target Field on Sunday afternoon.

Paddack surrendered a whopping eight earned runs on nine hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings in Sunday's game between Minnesota and Detroit. Royce Lewis started the scoring with a solo home run off a sinker from Paddack in the second inning.
