MINNEAPOLIS -- Center fielder Byron Buxton, who has been plagued by a left wrist strain, was activated from the Minor League disabled list on Tuesday, and rejoined Triple-A Rochester.
Buxton initially sustained the injury with Rochester on July 12, but returned July 27, only to endure a setback and get placed on the DL again on July 31. But after taking batting practice for the last week, Buxton was cleared for a return Tuesday.
"For the most part, the BP sessions over the past handful of days have gone well," Twins manager Paul Molitor said.
