Minneapolis/St. Paul – Zach LaVine is the winner of the NBA Cares Community Assist Award, presented by Kaiser Permanente, for the month of April. Winners name a charity of their choice to receive a $10,000 contribution and Zach has chosen the Flip Saunders Legacy Fund.
Zach was recognized for this award in large part through his work with the Metro Deaf School. As a monthly winner, LaVine becomes a top 10 finalist for the NBA Cares Community Assist Seasonlong Award, where the winner is determined by a combination of a fan vote and internal panel. The winner of the Seasonlong Award will receive $25,000 to give to the charity of their choice.
