The Wolves were rumored to be interested in former Apple Valley High School and Duke University star point guard Tyus Jones, and it appears as though they’ll end up with the Minnesota native after all.
Even though the Houston Rockets were rumored to have promised to draft Tyus Jones at #18 overall in the 2015 NBA Draft, he slid all the way to the #24 pick in the draft to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Multiple news outlets reported that the Wolves had agreed to trade the #31 and #36 picks in this year’s draft plus a future second-round pick for Jones.
