Wolves Notes: Wiggins, Dieng continue play with national teams

International play continues as AfroBasket moves towards it’s round of 16 teams and the FIBA Americas warm-up tournament in Puerto Rico rolls on as well.

Gorgui Dieng is still the best player for the best team in AfroBasket, leading Senegal to a 74-73 win over Angola with a 24-point, 9-rebound performance that included shooting 14 of 17 from the free throw line. Senegal won on a tip-in at the buzzer off of a missed jumper by Dieng.

Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett continue to play vital roles for Team Canada in Puerto Rico, although the 2013 number-one overall draft pick outplayed the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year in their most recent contest.
