Orlando Magic Vice President of Basketball Operations Manager Matt Lloyd is finalizing a deal to join the Minnesota Timberwolves as Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The move is new President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly’s first addition to the Wolves’ front office, but surely will not be the last we see this summer.
Lloyd — like Connelly — has a deep background is in scouting and, according to Wojnarowski, is well-regarded for his “relationships with teams and agents in deal-making.”
