Last Friday night the Minnesota Timberwolves gave the game away to the Denver Nuggets en route to an overtime loss to their Northwest Division opponent. The Wolves have had a habit of squandering large leads, and Friday’s loss was no exception.
Large leads haven’t been the only thing the Wolves have seen slipping through their fingers. In essence, this season is gradually descending into what some would call regular Minnesota Timberwolves basketball.
The team has lost six of their last seven games after starting the season .500 through the first 16 games. All momentum seems to be trending downward.
