The Timberwolves will wear a memorial patch for team president and head coach Flip Saunders this season, the team said Tuesday.
The news comes a day after the NBA Coaches Association said its members would wear a pin to commemorate Saunders, who died Sunday after a battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma, sending the team and the league into mourning.
In addition to the patch, players will wear commemorative warm-up shirts in November with the word "WE" on the front and Saunders' name over the heart.
The team also said there will be a pregame tribute to Saunders before the Wolves' home opener Nov.
