Slightly disappointing news has come about for the Timberwolves. Despite an undefeated 4-0 record in the summer league, they have not advanced to the semifinals. Instead, they will take part in a consolation game on Saturday against the Rockets (4:30 PM Central Time, NBA TV).
Wolves don't advance despite undefeated record
The Timberwolves played their fourth game on Wednesday and were forced to wait and see if they did enough to advance. With each team having completed their four scheduled summer league outings after Friday's games, six teams came out undefeated. With only four spots available for the semifinals, that meant two undefeated teams would not be advancing.
