Things have slowed down a bit on the Timberwolves front as we near the Olympics and the dog days that are August and September of the NBA off-season.
You may recall that Ricky Rubio’s mother, Tona Vives, passed away back in May. Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated and ESPN reports the following:
Wolves guard Ricky Rubio is hosting a charity hoops game on Sept. 24 at the Target Center in Minneapolis called “Rubio’s Hoop For Hope” in honor of his mother, Tona Vives, who died after a long battle with cancer in May.
