Timberwolves Notes: Glen Taylor on Garnett, Aldrich’s summer

Since the 2015-16 season ended back in April, we haven’t heard much concrete news regarding Timberwolves legend Kevin Garnett.

As the oldest player in the league and someone who has missed the final weeks of each of the past two seasons, it’s fair to wonder if the 40 year-old Garnett is about to subject himself to an NBA-record 22nd season.

Nobody would blame KG for hanging them up, of course, and being paid $8 million in the coming months to play 15 minutes per game for half of a season isn’t ideal for the Timberwolves. Realistically, the roster spot that Garnett is occupying is more valuable to a young team with playoff aspirations like the Wolves than the cap space.
